There’s something missing in the three course menu. Of course, it’s what you were all waiting for. Dessert. And since my Dad was invited, it had to be something with chocolate. Little Pots of Chocolate.
I found the original recipe here (it’s in German), but I changed it a bit and I wasn’t totally satisfied with the result – There was something missing. Something fruity. And strawberries made it perfect.
For 3 Little Pots of Chocolate, you need:
125 ml cream
85 g dark chocolate
2 tablespoons rum
about 200 g strawberries
Grate the chocolate as fine as possible. Heat the cream in a pot until it’s almost boiling, then set aside.
Mix chocolate, egg and rum, then stir in the hot cream until all the chocolate is melted.
Fill in little glasses or cups and put in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
I made them the day before the dinner and put them in the fridge over night. I then took them out about one hour before serving and made the strawberry topping: Put three strawberries aside to decorate the plate. Mix the rest with powdered sugar until you have a nice, sweet strawberry sauce. It should be sweet because the little pots lack sweetness.
And that’s it! Very chocolatey for chocolate fans like my Dad – He ate two little ones.
