For this really moist chocolate cake, you need:
150 g milk chocolate, melted
100 g milk chocolate, chopped
120 g sugar
1 sachet vanilla sugar
100 g butter (or margarine)
200 g flour – but after weighing put 2 tablespoons flour back and replace it with
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 heaped teaspoon baking powder
150 ml milk
1 teaspoon rum
Preheat your oven to 180° C / 360° F.
First, beat the eggs with sugar and butter until creamy. Add the chopped chocolate. Stir the rum in the milk and mix the flour with the cocoa and the baking powder. In turns, stir both mixtures in. Finally, stir in the melted chocolate. And that’s it! Fill the dough in your cake tin and bake it for about 1 hour.
Let it cool and then turn it out. Dust it with powdered sugar. (You could also cover it with chocolate frosting – But for me, that would be too much.)
